Whereas at this prsent genal quarter
Sessions of the peace held for the City &
Liberty of Westmr on thursday the
Seventh day of January last a bill of
Indictment was found by the Grand Jury
agt my Father Hugh Davis< no role > of the parish
of St Anne within the said Liberty of Westmr
victualler & Jane his wife for Assaulting
beating & falsly imprisoning me Jane Davis< no role >
(by the name of Jane Hodgren< no role > ) as is Prtended
Now I the said Jane Davis the Daughter doe
hereby declare that the said Indictment was
preferred without my privity or consent
and I doe hereby desire that my said Father
& mother may be admitted to plead guilty to
the [..] Indictment (by way of protestation)
to some Charges of bying the [..] said Indictmt
or be discharged thereof in such manner as the
Court shall think fitt, Witness my hand this 18th
day of March Anno Dni 1730
