The Examination of Ann Cape< no role >
Widow taken on Oath this 19th
Day of March 1730

Sayeth that Yesterday being the eight
teenth Day of this pistant March about
the hours of three and four the
heard a great Noise In the yard of
Claudius Gullard< no role > of Piccadilly In holder
that Wakeing out of her window
theheSaw two persons pregayed, whose
Names are Cornelius Knot< no role > and Samuel
Wright
< no role > [..] that the saw Cornelius
Knot assaulting and beating Samuel
Wright who then lay on the ground
that some of the people Wake up Samuel
Wright, the then Saw Cornelius Knot
Stricking Wright heart against the Wall
afterward Knot threw Wright on the
Ground. and Assaulted him In a riot
ent Manner when he layon the
Ground till the blood run out of his
Month, Nose, and earl. And this Ext.
Sayeth that the heard the people, cry out
Murder severall times, they would murder
the Man, and this Esit Sayeth that
the herself cry'd out Murder and diet
beleive their Deseym was to murder
Wright. this Ext for the Sayeth that
John the Coach man was aideing and Assis
ting Cornelius Knot In the whose
affair that Wright beyd to be friend
with Knot, but the said John the
Coachman pulled of his Coat and
Challenged the said Wright to fight
him when he was In that bloody
Condition and not able to Stand
that the said Knot did by the advice
of John assaulted him again and
threw him on the ground
