of Correction & taken an Account of the De [..] of the necessary a [..]
and other matters wanting to be provided for the keeping the Prisoners there to work and
Labour, and considered of the Matters thereby to Us referred and are of Opinion that such
repaires are absolutely necessary& ought to be forthwith provided & done to the sd.
house of Correction as are particularly menconed & set forth in the respective Estimates hereunto
also Annexed for the use and Service of the said Prison at the Charge of the Inhabitants
of this said Liberty. And Wee have taken the Advise and assistance of able Workmen
usually employed about the repaires of the said Prison, who have Examined & View'd the said
Defects of repairs and taken an Account of what other matters are wanting to be provided
for the use and Service of the said Prison and made on Estimate of the Charge thereof &
we find that the whole Charge of making good such Defects of repairs and providing blocks
and other necessary for the use and Service of the said Prison as aforesaid will amount to
the Sume of Fifty three Pounds thirteen Shillings and four Pence which ought to be
raised by a rate upon the Inhabitants of this Liberty in such manner as this Court shall
think fit Wee also certifye that George Gassett< no role > hath attended us as one Clerk to take
an account of the said Matters by our directions and drawn up and Engrossed this our
report thereupon, and conceive he deserves to be allowed for such his Honble herein the Sume
of Two Pounds and two shillings all which we Submit to the Judgment of this Court
