Whereas John Gouson< no role > Kt . Nathaniel Blackerby< no role > Alexander
Chock
< no role > Alexander Hardine< no role > and Francis Sorell< no role > Esqrs . five of his
Majesties Justices of the Peace for this City and Liberty to who
(amongst others) it was recomended and referred to examine in [..]
into and consider of the Severall matters to them referred mem
and contained man order made at the generall quarter Session
of the peace held for this City & Liberty the tenth day of January
[..] have now certified
writing under their hands dated this fourth day of July
instant that in pursuance of the Said Order they has Viewed and
inspected the work & repairs done to the house of Correccon for this
CIty and Liberty according to a former order of this Court and
other repairs & matters done there not contained in the Estimate
annexed to the Said Order and had ordered the Said work & repairs
to be Surveyed and measured and the Workmens bills for the Same
to be duly Examined, and find that after all deduccons made by
the Said Referrees upon a Survey and Estimate by Thomas
Richardson a Surveyor by the [..] loyed; there was due to the
James Stedman< no role > for Carpenter [..] in the Said Estimate
the Sume of thirty two pounds ten Shillings & four Pence, and to
Thomas Burt< no role > for Jury the work included in the Said Estimate the Sume
of Eleven pounds five Shillings; And they further find upon their own
view as well as by the Opinion of the Said Surveyor that there is
done by the Said Mr. Stedman other necessary repairs & work for the
Strengthening and better Secureing the Said Prison which is not
menconed or contained in the Said Estimate, amounting to
Nineteen pounds two Shillings and half a Penny and by the Said
Thomas Burt< no role > the Smyth amounting to three pounds Eleven
Shillings and eleven pence which in all mates twenty two pounds
thirteen Shillings eleven Pence half penny after Severall deduccons
made out of their bills by the Said Referrees, but as the Said last
work & repairs was not contained in the Said Estimate the Said
Referrees Submitted the Same to the dirreccon of this Court And
the Said Referrees were further of Opinion that [..] ought [..]
An Allowance made to the Said Thomas Richardson< no role > for [..]
Attendance & trouble in Surveying & Meal [..] being the [..]
& repairs & Examining [..] bills
