Upon reading the humbly peticon of Diana Westbury< no role > on the behalf of
Amey Westbury< no role > her Daughter exhibited into this Court thereby showing
that her said Daughter by Judenture dated on about the tenth day of
February one Thousand seven Hundred and Eighteen was by the Trustreet
of St. Martin Grey Coat Charity Schools in the Parish of St. Martins in the
Fields in this Liberty bound out as an Apprentice to one Richard Scarlett< no role >
of the same parish Silk Dyer with him after the manner of an Apprentice
to serve from the date thereof for the term of five Year and that Elizabeth
Wife of the said Richard Scarlett< no role > had beat the said among Westbury with
a horse whip and given her immoderate correccon and otherwise missed
her and that upon complaint thereof to William Conne< no role > Esqr one of his
Maties Justices of the Peace for this Liberty he the said Justice upon
hearing the said matter did by Recognizance bind the said Elizabeth
Scarlett to appear in this Court this present Session to answer the said
complaint And Whereas the said Richard Scarlett< no role > and Elizabeth his
Wife sumoned to appear before this Court this day at ten of the
Clock in the forenoon to answer the Peticoners complaint and shew
cause why the said Amey Westbury< no role > should not be discharged of her
Indenture of apprenticehood to the said Richard Scarlett< no role > Now upon
the appearance of the said Richard scarlett< no role > and Elizabeth< no role > his Wife in
this Court and reading of the said Indenture of Apprenticehood and
hearing of the said matter in the presence of the petitioner and what
was alledged by Councel on bothsides It appeared to this Court that
the said amey Westbury< no role > was bound to sever the said Richard scarlett< no role >
for the Term of five years only and that the said Richard scarlett was
not thereby obliged to teach or instruct the said apprentice in any Art
mistery or employment whatsoever Whereupon this Court is of opinion
