held the 18th. instant were read and approved.

Subscriptions were recommended by the Treasurer
towards defraying the great expences of the Hospital

The Treasurer acquainted the Court that the
immediate occasion of calling the same was to choose
an Assistant Physician in the room of Dr. Ainslie.

Whereupon the Court proceeded to such choice
and the Petitions of Dr . Sayer Walker< no role > and Dr. William
Charles Wells
< no role > were severally read praying to be Elected
Assistant Physician after which Mr. Treasurer
acquainted the Court that he had authority from Dr.
Walker to withdraw his Petition being unwilling to
trouble the Court with balloting for him at this
time in hope of their favor on a future occasion

Whereupon his Petition was withdrawn
accordingly and then the Court proceeded to the Election
and the said Dr. Wells being then the only Candidate
he was unanimously chosen Assistant Physician to
this Hospital during the Pleasure of this Court and
he was called in and acquainted with his Election.
