then next under the rent of a Pepper Corn for
the first two years of the said Term They paying
all Parliamentary and other Taxes and for the
remainder of the said Term At and under the
yearly rent of Thirty seven Pounds payable
Quarterly free and clear of all Parliamentary
Taxes and other deductions whatsoever and
laying out on the said Premises or some
part thereof the sum of £2000 at least
in substantial Brick buildings within the
first two years of the said Term under
the inspection and with the approbation
of the Hospitals Surveyor And at another
Committee holden for the said Hospital on
the 28th.. day of September 1775 on the Petition
of the said George Wyatt< no role > and Edward Gray< no role >
therein taking notice of the above Agreement
and that they had built Thirteen Houses
on the said Ground and expended a
much larger sum than the said £2000
therefore praying that instead of including
the whole Ground of one Lease that the
Governors would be pleased to grant
them separate Leases agreeable to the
description and Arrangement of the
different Lots by them then produced
And Wr.. Crouch the Hospital's Surveyr..
being present and confirming the truth
of what they asserted And that by the mode
they proposed there would be sufficient
Security to the Hospital for the reserved
rent their request was granted and
