Mr. Treasurer acquainted this Court
that the immediate occasion of calling them was
to inform them there had been Several Meetings with the
other Royal Hospitals relation to the Court of Common
Council of the City of London Claiming to be Governors
of the said Hospitals

and ordered to be
presented & prosecd.


Whereupon a draft of a Petition to The
Right Honble. the Lord High Chancellor as Visitor of the
said Hospitals which had been prepared on behalf of
the said Hospitals was read, which Petition is as follows..

To the Right Honble Edward Lord Thurlow
Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain Visitor of
the Hospitals of Saint Bartholomew and Bethlem
of the foundation of King Henry the Eighth and of
Christ's Bridewell and Saint Thomas the Apostle
