Occasion; their Petitions were withdrawn accordingly. And
the Court then proceeded to the Election by Ballott for Dr.
Akenside, Dr Fordyce, and Dr. Russell; and on casting up
the Ballott it appeared that the Numbers were for Dr.
Akenside, 116 Dr: Russell, 67 Dr: Fordyce, 32. whereupon
the said Dr. Akenside was Declared duly Elected to the
said Office to hold the same during the Pleasure of this
Court And He was called in and acquainted with his Election
