for Burials by reducing the 19s/6d which was before Paid, to
11s/6d. and that those who choose to take away the Bodies, instead
of paying 5s (which was usually paid for Notices, Stripping
and Bearers,) should only Pay 6d, for Notice of their Deaths
of necessary, and 1s/ for the Bearers in case they do not find
proper Persons to do it themselves.

To take off the six pences Paid for Necessarys, and
to wash the Sheets.

That by this means no Person whatsoever would
have any Demand to make of any Patients on their Admission

That these several things proposed to be done would
cost the Hospital about £266. Pr. Annum, which added to
what has been before done Vizt. £684. (Paid for admittances
in Crowns, and half Crowns for petitions, and Additional
Salary to the Steward in lieu of Perquisites) would amount
to £950. Pr. Annum.

That the above mention'd Expences added to the usual
Charges of the Hospital were the utmost (us Mr. Treasurer
apprehended) that could be recommended by Us by way of
Trial for the Present case of the Patients, as the Expences
of the Hospital Exceed the certain annual Income Vizt. by
upwards of £1500 Pr. Annum at a Medium as appears by
a calculation made for 21 Years past, and would by the late Order
for remitting the Petition and Admission Fees, and those then
proposed be upwards of £2450. Pr. Annum. and as it was
quite uncertain what the Casual profits arising from Bene-
factions, Legaceys, & otherwise might amount to, more
especially at this time when there are so many more Hospitals
erected, and others proposed to be erected as must make it
at least a Doubt, whether this Hospital will receive so much
Assistance as it has done hithers.

And upon Reading and taking the said Proposal
into Consideration, We have unanimously Resolved and
Ordered.

Burial Fees Etc
Abated.


That from and after Michaelmas next an Abatement
be made of the Fees for Burials by Reducing the 19s/6d which
is
