Mr: President acquainting the Court
that the occasion of calling the same was to Choose a
Physician to this Hospital in the Place of Doctor
Thomas Reeve, who has resigned

Dr: Russell chose
Physician

The Court proceeded to the choice of a
Physician in the place of Dr. Thomas Reeve. And the
Petition of Dr . Alexander Russell< no role > , (who was the only
Petitioner) being read, Praying to be admitted, one
of the Physicians of this Hospital in the place of the said
Dr: ReeveThe said Dr: Russell was unanimously choose
to the said place, To Hold the same with the usual Salary
there belonging during the pleasure of this Court. And he
was called in, and acquainted with his Election

Order'd That the Thanks of this Court be
Given to the said Dr: Reeve for his faithfull services to this
Hospital as one of the Physicians's thereofAnd the said
Dr: Reeve being Present in Court; Mr: President gave
Him Thanks accordingly.

The Place of Assistant Physician being
Vacant by the above choice, it was moved that another
Assistant Physician be chosen in his room

Order'd That a General Court of the Governors
of this Hospital be summoned for Thursday 31st: January
1760 at 12 o Clock at noon for the choice of an Assistant
Physician in the room of the said Dr: Alexander Russell
now chosen in the room of the said Dr: Reeve
