We have granted Leases to the following Persons

Grane Johnston


To John How< no role > Citizen and Joyner of London a
Lease of a House in Harp Row without Newgate for 21 Years
from Christmas 1751 at a clear Rent of £10.

To Henry Cracklow< no role > Citizen and Clothworker a Lease
of four Tenements in St. Thomas's Parish one whereof is to be
rebuilts at the Expence of the Hospital not exceeding £300
for which the Tenant is to pay and advanced Rent of £6. P Ct.
over and above the old clear Rent of £4..8 P Ann for 21 Years
from Laday 1753

and all the Tenements in black and white Court in the old Baily
together with the George Alehouse in Front on the West Side of
the old Baily for 41 Years from Michaelmas 1752 at a clear
Rent of £65..

To Mr. Christopher Rawlinson< no role > a Lease of the House
at Hackney formerly the Bowling Green House with the Out
houses and Gardens and four Fields adjoyning for 31 Years
from Midsumr: 1752 at £16.. clear Rent and to lay out £100
in Repairs.

Francis Daman


Mr. David Jones< no role > of Portsmouth having by his Will
proved in 1704 devised to this Hospital sundry Houses at Gosport
after the Deaths of his Wife and three other Personsthe Sur-
viver of whom David Sparrow< no role > has been out of England for
thirty Years past And there being no Positive Proof of his being
living for seven Years last past but great Reasons to believe that
he also is dead We directed the Clerk to apply to the Daughter of the
said David Sparrow and her Husband John Blake< no role > of Ports-
mouth Shipwright who have receiv'd the Rents of the Premisses
to give up the Possession to the Hospital which they have ac-
cordingly done And the Tenants attorn'd And we have granted a
Lease of the premisses to Mr. Francis Daman< no role > of Gosport Timber
Merchant for 51 Years from Lady day 1752 at a clear Rent of
£10.. and £100.. Fine and he is to lay out £500 on the Pre-
misses within the first 5 Years
