Thorps. proposal


Mr. Thorpe attended & desired to have a
Building Lease made to him of the Grand
whereon stood his House at Wapping
lately burnt down the Committee thought
fit to Adjourn the Consideration of this
matter till the next Grand Committee.

Ordered that the mark of this Hospital
be put upon every House let by this Hospl.

Agreed wth. Benedict Ithell< no role > Esqr . to make
him a Lease of the 4. Houses now in his
tenure in the Little Old Bailey for 21. Years
from the expiration of the present Terme
at the present rent of £12. P Ann & £80. Fine
he to lay out £100. in Substantial repairs.

House in Harp Row late Pages be forthwith

and Mr. Trear is desired to give Orders accordingly

The Minutes of the last Grand Committee
of the 25th. of February last read & approved

The Clerk acquainted the Committee that
he had attended the Directors of the hand
in hand Insurance Office on behalfe of
this Hospital to request their laying out
the mony insured on the House lately
burnt at wapping in the tennre of John
Usher
< no role > towards rebuilding the said House
and that the said Direction had Agreed thereto
on the Hospitals giving Security to Indeminfy
that society And that they would Accept the
said Clerks Security And on Article and Bond
were prepared for that purpose which were
now read to the Committee.

Resolved that the committee do agree to the
Clerks Entring into the said Securities and
this Hospital will Indeminfy him with respect
thereto.

The Clerk is to give a Coppy of this Minute to the
said Directions.

Mr. Ayracy late Tennt. One of the Houses at
the Foregate of the Hospital Attended & prayed.
