Lease of Houses neare
Joyners Street.


Ordered that a Surrender be Accepted of the
Lease granted to Mr: Bland of Houses & Ground in
Joyners Street & Hatchetts Corner, with an Excepcon
in the sd Surrender of the Way as now used out of
St: Thomas's Parish into Joyners Street over part
of the Ground granted by the sd Lease. And that
[..] A Lease or Grant be made to the sd Bland
or his Assignes at his of their Charge Of the Liberty & Use of the sd Way or Passage for the
Residue of the Terme how to come into the sd Lease
At a Pepper Corne P Ann: So as the sd Surrendr.
be forthwith made & delivered to the Governors:

Mr: Dennis Herbert< no role > our Tenmt: of a House in
Hatchetts Corner complaining of great Damage by
the Falling of part of the Houses in Lease to Mr:
Bland, Ordered that the same be Considered at
next Comittee, and that a View be taken in the
Meane time.

Ordered that Henry Bamfeild< no role > who refuses to
Signe the Contract for the Ground taken by him of
this Comittee the 17th. of October last, be prosecuted
in order to Oblige him to Signe the sd Contract and
that an Ejectmt: be delivered for Recovering the
Possession of the House [..] wherein the sd Bamfeild
now Lives.

The Comittee was Acquainted by Mr: Finch that Mr: Wm: Hambly
Execur: of Mr: Buck, out Tenn: of the Old Bird in
Hand Ale house in St: Thomas's Parish upon a
Grand which expires at Christmas 1708: at £4:8s
P Ann. Refuses to Treat for a Renewall of the
Lease, This Comittee thereupon proceeded to
Receive proposalls for a Lease of the sd Abuse
and of the Ground behind it sometime
designed for a Burying Ground.
