24 April 1696 .

To present to Grand Comittee yt. it is the opinion
of the Comittee yt. the late great old Wards betweene the
last new buildings & the houses to the greete. be pulled downe
Mr. Cohott to remove his timber out of the rubbish there
The Yard paved with plain worke without Figures
but Smooth frubeck Slow round about
Pipes to being ye. waler downe in ye. foure Corners
of the first built Square.

19. May 1696.

A lettr. from Mr. Leman Tenant of our Principall house in
Paler noster row was read complaining that he floore of the
Yard belonging to Mr. Welding another of our Conts. adjoyning
was ready to fall So yt. Mr. Leman could not without
danger make use of the Coller under itOrdered yt.
Mr. Trer Mr Gray mr. Cartwright & Mr. Brownsmith or any 3. of
Item forthwith view the prmisees & give Such orders &
direccons therein as they shall think fit & just.

Old building


Resolved yt. the old buildings of the late 4. great Wards
between lst. Tho: Church & our new buildings Eastward &
the backside of the houses towards the greete be forthwith
pulled downe & demolished.

And it is referred to the Sub. Comittee to manage the Same
& dispose of the materialls as they think best for the
advantage of the house and afterwards cause the ground
thereof to be levelled & the inclosures of it as they think
Gilt.
