aforesaid; and also to hear and determine divers
Felonies, Trespasses, and other Misdemeanours com-
mitted in the Same County.
Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint James
at Clerkenwell
in the said County Have at this present Session Exhibited,
their Petition and Appeal setting forth That by virtue of a Pass Warrant or
Order under the Hands and Seals of John Devaynes< no role >
and John Collick< no role >
Esquires
two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County (one whereof
being of the Quorum) bearing date the 22d. day of June 1799 Elizabeth Collins< no role >
was removed and conveyed from and out of the parish of Saint Martin in the
fields
within the Liberty of Westminster
in the County of Middlesex
to the Parish of
St James at Clerkenwell
in the said County as the place of her last legal settlement
whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves aggrieved
Now, upon hearing the said Appeal, and what hath been alledged by the respective
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parishes, their Counsel and Witnesses in
and concerning the Premises, IT IS ORDERED, that the said Appeal be, and the same is
hereby allowed, and the said Order of the said two Justices is hereby vacated and set aside;
and IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Saint James at Clerkenwell
do forthwith convey and
deliver back the said Elizabeth Collins< no role >
(together with a Copy of this Order) unto the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields
who are hereby required to
receive and provide for the said Elizabeth Collins< no role >
until they can free themselves from the Charge thereof by due Course of Law.
