MIDDLESEX .


AT the GeneralSession of the Peace or our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the Session-House for the said County,(by adjournment)
on Thursday the SeventhDay of December in the
the Thirty eighthYear of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord
GEORGE the Third, King of Great Britain, Etc.

Whereas Hugh Jackson< no role > of the Parish of Saint Luke in the County of Middlx
Hath at this present Session Exhibited his Petition and Appeal setting forth
That on the 27th day of November in the Year of our Lord 1797 He now
Convicted Before John Floud< no role > and Patrick Colquhoun< no role > Esquires two of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace for the County of Midddlesex of a certain Misdemeanour to wit For
that on the 23th day of the said months of November at the Parish of Saint Luke
.in the said County there was found in a Certain Room and Place belonging
.to and Inhabited by him in Featherstone Street there Situate and he then and there
.had in his possession in the said Room and Place so Inhabited by and
.belonging to him as aforesaid certain Silk Materials to wit Three pounds
.Weight of unwrought Silk of different Colours suspected to be purlained and embezzled
.and 112 Wooden Bobbins being Tools and Implements with which Pew and are
.entrusted of Manufacturing Silk Materials also suspected to be purloined
he bough or received the same nor gave an account to the Satisfaction of
the said Justices how he came by the same contrary to the Statute in such case
made and provided whereby the Petitioner conceived himself aggrived. Whereupon
at the request of the said Petitioner It is Ordered that the benefit of his said
appeal should be saved unto him and the hearing and determining
thereof be and the same is hereby adjourned until the next General Quarter
Session of the Peace to be holden for this County and on notice hereof in the mean
time to be given into the said John Floud< no role > and Patrick Colquhoun they and
all concerned do attend the Court at the Session aforesaid on Thurday the
Seventh day of January next at the hour of nine in the forenoon of the same
day to hear and abide the judgment and determination of the said Court
Touching the said Appeal.
