To the Worshipful his Majesty's Justices
of the peace to the County of Middlesex

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the
parish of Saint George in the County of Middlesex

Sheweth


That by Virtue of an Order a pass Warrant
under the Hands and Seals of George Story< no role > and John
Staples
< no role > Esquires two of his Majesty's Justices of the peace
Acting in and for the County of Middlesex bearing date
the Seventh Day of June 1797 Ann Lewis< no role > wife of
John Lewis< no role > and her two Children namely Charles< no role >
aged about two years and Maria< no role > aged About One
Month were conveyed from and out of the parish of
Saint John of Wapping in the said County Middlesex
to the said parish of Saint George as the place of
their lawful Settlement

That your Pepleoner Conceive Nc [..] selves
Aggrieved by the said Order masmuch as the Place or
the Lawful Settlement of the said Maria Appears to
be in the parish of Saint John of wapping
