To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Tottenham in the County of
Middlesex and to the Church-wardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the Parish of Streatham
in the County of Surrey

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto us, whose Names
are hereunto set, and Seals affixed, being two of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace in and for the County of Middlesex
aforesaid (one whereof being of the Quorum) by the Church-wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Tottenham
That Richard Goddard< no role > , Charlotte< no role > his Wife
and Richard< no role > and Sarah< no role > their lawful
Children Vizt. Richard< no role > aged Six Years and
Sarah< no role > aged Eighteen months
lately intruded and came in the said Parish of Tottenham
and are become chargeable to the
same: We the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon
the Examination of the said Richard Goddard< no role >
upon Oath, as other Circumstances, do adjudge the same to be true,
and do also adjudge the Place of the last legal Settlement of the said
Richard Goddard< no role >
to be in the Parish of Streatham
in the County of Survey.

THESE are therefore in his Majesty's Name to require you, on Sight
hereof, to remove and convey the said Richard Goddard< no role >
Charlotte< no role > his wife and Richard< no role > and Sarah< no role >
their lawful Children
from and out of your said Parish of Tottenham
to the said Parish of Streatham and
deliver unto the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or to
some or one of them, together with this our Order, or a true Copy
thereof, who are hereby required to receive and provide for them
according to Law.
Given under our Hands and Seals the Eighth
Day of March One Thousand Seven Hundred and
Ninety. Six .
