Mary on the 14th.. day of April 1771 with whom he continued to
reside in the said Parish until the Septr.. following & then died leaving
the Second Mary Duffell< no role > him surviving who continued to peside in the
said Parish of Hampton & who on the 8th.. day of August 1791 took
Barbara Reed< no role > an Apprentice being a poor Girl of the Parish of
Saint Martin in the Fields who was regularly bound to her by
Indenture by the Parish Officers of Saint Martins till she should
attain the Age of 21 Years or day of Marriage - The Apprentice
served under Indenture of Apprenticeship in the said Parish of
Hampton for upwards of Forty days when her said mistress
the second Mary Duffell died

Whereupon said two Justices removed the said
Barbara Reed< no role > (the Apprentice) back to the said Parish of Saint
Martins on the Ground that she gained no Settlement in
Hampton by her Apprenticeship with said Mary Duffell< no role >
she being the Widow of James Duffell< no role > who resided at
Hampton under the before mentioned CertificateUpon an
Appeal to the Session the Orders were Quashed.
At the GeneralSession held at the Session
House of the sd [..] on Thursday the 16th. of February last
