Day of August One thousand Seven hundred and fifty five granted by
the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Thackham
in the County of Sussex
and which Certificates was duly allowed of
and signed by two Magistrates for the said County of Sussex

Certificate acknowledged James Duffell< no role >
and Mary his Wife
to be
Inhabitants legally settled in the said Parish of Thackham
.
After the Granting the Certificate the said mary Duffell< no role >
died and the said James Duffell< no role >
Married
a second wife named Mary< no role >
Duffell
on the 14th.. day of April 1771 with whom he continued to reside or
the said Parish until the Septmeber following & then died leaving
