At Etc

The Minutes of the last Court being read by which William
Mainwaring
< no role > Esq the Chairman was requested to treat with the Agents
of Jervoise Clerk Jervoise< no role > & others relative to the Damage which
might happen by the Erection of the New House of Correction to the Spring
which supplies the Cold Bath in Cold Bath Fields & to report to the
Court what he had done thereon & the Chairman having informed
the Court that he had not been able to fix upon any Terms with them

It was Moved that this Court doth agree to
proceed in the purchase of the Ground Etc subject to the Agreem
-mentd in the Master's Report to indemnify the parties & the
"Estate of the said Walter Baynes< no role > & Jervoise Clerk Jervoise Esqr agt
"any Damage that may be done or arise to the Spiring of Water
which supplies the Cold Bath in Cold Bath Fields "
which being seconded was carried in the
Negative 7 of His Majtys Justices having
noted agt & five for the Motion

The Chairman then stated to the Court that the
agents of the said Jervoise Clerk Jervoise & others were willing to
accept the sum of £500 for the risk they might run in having the
Spring destroyed or damaged by the Erection of the said New intended
House of Correction Etc

It was thereupon moved that this Court do
not agree to this proposal which Motion being seconded was
carried unanimously

Mr. Bentley & Mr Tilbury the agents for the sevl
parties interested attending this Court were directed to be called in
