or any Persons claiming under them by digging
building upon or in any other manner using the
Promises proposed to be purchased by them And
that the Primes so proposed to be purchased shall
stand as a Security against any such Damage And
I find that John Gorham< no role > of the Kings Road in the
Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn Surveyor Aged
70 Years by his Affidt. made in these Cause the
8th day of Decr. 1786 Swears that he was
lately employed by Mr. Joseph Tilbury< no role > Steward or
Recr. of the Rents of the Estates of Jervoise Clerke
Jervoise & the Representation of Walter Baynes< no role >
deced to survey & value a price of ground part of
the sd. Estate containing by Admeasurement seves
Acres or there about on which ground there is a
small Farm House that the greatest part of the
sd. ground has for some years been used as a
place only for shooting of Rubbish on & that the
whole of the ground with the Farm House is
now let as the Depont. believes at the yearly Next
of £100 besides which the New River Company pay
for Six Mains of Pipes which are laid on the Premes
the yearly Sum of £24 And the Depont. saith that
according to the best of his Judgement the sum of £4100
offered by the Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middx for the Purchase of such ground is the full
Value of it And that it will be for the Benefit and
Advantage of the several Persons interested in the
sd. Estate to take That sum for the Purchase
there of And the Deponent saith that he is able to
speak to the Value of such ground having been
accustomed the greatest part of his Life to Value
House Buildings & grounds in London Middx &
else where & having known the same 50 years and
upwards
