for his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County
of Middlesex (no one attending for
although duly summoned so to do as by Oath made
before me appears) And I have proceeded to inquire
whether it will be for the benefit of the Parties in titled
to the Estate in Question in these Cause to accept of the
Sum of £ 4000 proposed to be paid by his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace for the County of Middx for a
Price of Land in the Parish of St. James Clerkenwell
part of the sd. Estate And I find that His Majesty's sd.
Justices have proposed to purchase a Messe without
Buildings thereto belonging & a Price or Parcel of
Land containing 7 Aerls more or less(being the
peice of Land is the sd. Order mentg.) late in the
Occasion of & now of
situate in the sd. parish of St. James Clerkenwell &
that since the making of the above Order the sd. Justices
have proposed to give for the Noiety of the sd. Messe
& Price of Land belonging to the Parties in the sd. Causes
(being part of the real Est: of Walter Baynes deced the
Testor in the Gleadings mentd.)the Sum of £2500
and it is alledged before me that the sd. Justices have
agreed with gervase Clerke gervoise Esqr (who is
in titled to the other Moiety of the sd. Messe & Price
o Land)for the purchase thereof at the Sum of
£200 making together the Sum of £4100 subject
to an Agreement to indemnity the sd. Parties &
the sd. Estate of the sd. Walter Baynes< no role > & Jervoise
Clerke Jervoise
< no role > agt. any Damage that may be
done or arise to the Spring of Walter which supplies
a certain place called the Cold Bath in Cold Bast

Baynes
