To the Worshipful his Majesties Justices of the Peace
to the County of Middlesex in their General Session
of the Peace at the New Session House Clerkenwell Green
Assembled

The Humble Petition and appeal of the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Saint Paul Covent Garden within the City
and Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex

Sheweth


That by Virtue of a Pass Warrant or order under the hands
and Seals of St. Ayliffe< no role > and Edward B. Green< no role > Esquires two of his
Majesties Justices of the Peace Acting in and for the County of
middlesex aforesaid (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date
the Eleventh day of January one thousand seven hundred and
Eighty five Thomas Croswell< no role > was removed from the parish of
Kensington in the County aforesaid to the said Parish of St. Paul
Covent Garden as the place of his last legal settlement where by
a [..] Petitioners think themselves aggreived and do appeal to
this Court against the same

Your Petitioners therefore pray this Court that
your Worships will be pleased to save the benefit
of their said appeal and to adjourn the hearing
and determining thereof until the next General
Quarter Session of the Peace to be holden in and for
the said County of Middlesex at the New Session house
aforesaid and that all persons concern use may be
then directed to Attend.
