To the Worshipful His Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middlesex in this General Quarter Session of the Peace assembled

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Church Gresley in
the County of Derby

Sheweth


That by virtue of a Pass Warrant or Order under the hands
and seals of Henry Lambe< no role > and Edward Burnaby Greene< no role > Esquire two
of His Majestys Justices of the Peace in and for the said County of Middlesex
(one of them being of the Quorum) bearing date the 30th day of December
last a Man a Woman and these Children named and described
in the said Order as Follows vizt." Thomas Chapman< no role > . Elizabeth< no role > his
"Wife & Sarah< no role > their Daughter aged about 8 years Elizabeth< no role > their Daughter
"aged about 6 years and Thomas< no role > their son aged about three Months
were removed and conveyed from and out of the Hamlet of
Hammersmith in the Parish of Fulham in the said County of
Middlesex to the said Parish of Church Gresley as the Place
of their last legal Settlement whereby your Petitioners conceived
themselves aggrieved

Your Petitioners therefore Humbly Appeal to this
Court against the Adjudication of the said two Justices
and their said Order and pray that your Worships
will be pleased to appoint a day in this present
Session for the hearing and determining the said Appeal

And your Petitioners will pray etc
