MIDDLESEX .


At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the Session, House for the Said County, (by adjournment)
on Thursday the thirteenth Day of January in the
twenty fifthYear of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord
GEORGE the Third, King of Great Britain, Etc.

Whereas Richard Sacheverell< no role > of Southampton Buildings in
the parish of Saint Andrew Holborn in the County of Middlesex
Bookbinder hath at this present Session Exhibited his Petition and
Appeal Setting forth that by Indenture of apprentiship bearing date
the fifteenth day of July 1782 Thomas Harden< no role > a Poor Boy of the Parish
of Saint Giles Reading in the County of Bucks became bound by the
said Indenture for the Term of Seven Years to learn the Art of a
Bookbinder in the said Indenture mentioned that on or about the
Month of July in the Year 1783 the Petitioner from the disorderly behaviour
of the said Thomas Harden< no role > his said Apprentice was forced to complain
the Magistrates sitting at the Rotation Office Clerkenwell who Committed
hem to Bridewell But out of [..] and from the Persuasion of the
petitioners friends he forgave him and Received him Back into his
Service That from the time of his beeing received into the Service of the
Petitioner from Clerkenwell Bridewell he hath behaved in the Most outraging
manner refusing to do his Lawfull business when Ordered by the Petitioner
and Several times Stricking his Mistress the Wife of the Petitioner, That at
the GeneralSession of the Peace held for the County of Middlesex
June last he was Convicted of Stealing a Handkerchief underwent a
Punishment for the said Crime, and on Monday the 10th. day of January
Instt. he was again Committed to Bridewell fro Assaulting the Petitioner
Journeyman and attempting the Life of the Petitioners Wife and praying
that he may be released from his said apprentice Whereupon at the
Request of the said Petitioner it is ordered that the benefit of the said appeal
should be Saved unto him and the hearing and determining thereof be and the Same is hereby adjourned untill the
next General Session of the Peace to be holden for the Said County and on
Notice hereof in the mean time to be given to the said Thomas Hardens
he and all Persons concerned do attend the Court hereon Thursday the twenty
fourth day of February next at the Hour of None in the forenoon of the same
day to hear and abide the Judgement and determination of the Said Court
touching the said appeal.
