Parish of Saint Mary le Bone

At a General Meeting of the
Committees of the Mary le Bone Associatesholden at the
Court House this day.

Present The Right Honble Earl Ferrers in the Chair

Resolved Unanimously To return the thanks of this
Meeting to His Grace the Duke of Northumberland Custos Rotulorum
of the County of Middlesex and to the Committee for their Letter and for
the Communication of the Matter suggested to them by his Grace the Duke
of Northumberland.

To Express the Satisfaction with which the Mary le Bone Associates
receive this fresh Mark of his Grace's Approbation of their Plan of
Association and readiness to assist them in Carrying it into
Execution.

To desire His Grace may be assured the Mary le Bone Associates are
determined to Exert themselves in support of the Civil Power and
the Preservation of the Peace of this Parish against all Riots and
Tumults without the Aid or Interposition of a Military Force as
Expressed in their Plan of Association and with this View have
resolved to provide themselves with Arms and to learn the use
and Exercise of them

To return the Thanks of the Associates for his Grace's offer of
Proper Persons to assist in Instructing them for two Months
which they very readily Accept and as soon as the Associates have
