Resolved that Sixty more Constables do go
forthwith to the
Guildhall
Westminster
under the direction of
Mr. Triquet and Mr. Selby and the said Constables were sent
accordingly
12 past Twelve O Clock
Resolved that Fifty more Constables do go
forthwith to the
Guildhall
Westminster
under the direction of
Mr Eyles and Mr Hurford and the said Constables were sent
accordingly
Mr. Ewer Constable
of St. Georges arrived
about 12 past One O Clock and brought a Letter from Mr Staples
and Mr Clarke which was read and he added that there was
a Roman Catholic School in Princes Square
which it was
apprehended would be destroyed this night and that the Mob had
threatned to demolish four houses in that neighbourhood occupied by
Mr Mc Mullon Mr Sharrot Mr Dowdel and Mr Barnett
whereupon a number of Constables were ordered to accompany him to
the above places to receive further instruction from Masses. Staples and
Clarke
Mr. Eyles laid before the Meeting the following
Messuage vizt. "The Magistrates sitting at the
Guildhall
Westminster
"will be much obliged to the Magistrates at Hicks Hall
for their
"attendance at the Guildhall
conceiving their attendance near the
"Houses of Parliament will now be more particularly serviceable
"& necessary
