Merediff Owden< no role > Saith he is One of the Poor in Shoreditch
Workhouse and that about Six this Morning he was at the
Green Man at Hoxton and was Informed there was a
Woman Murder'd at the Upper end of the Land of Promise
in Hoxton That he found her there lying on her
Back with her Head towards the Workhouse
That she had forty or fifty Pins in her Month and One
Pin stick in her ThroatThat there were several
People about her and some of them took the Pins out of
her Month That there was a little Blood about her
Month and alittle about her Nose That there was
ared Garter Tied very Tight about her Neck and something
of a white Clock Cloth Tied very Tight under the Garter
And an Hand kerchief Tied very Tight round her Body
Over her Cloaths Whether or not she had any Stays
onor notInformant cannot toll That she Appeared
to have all her Cloatrhs on Except an Hand Kerehief over her
Neck which Informant thinks She had not
That One of her Legs was sore And the Other Appeared
Searrd That she had white Thread Stockings and no
Garters to either That she Appeared to have been
Dragd fourteen or fifteen Yards out of the Path way going
to Kingsland Road [..]
