At the General Session of the Peace of our Lord the King holden for
the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street in the
said County (by adjournment) on Thursday the Sixth day of December
in the Eleventh year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the
Third King of Great Britain etc Before John Hawkins< no role > Benjamin
Cowley
< no role > Saunders Welch< no role > Thomas Niccoll< no role > Esquires and others their
Fellow Justices of our said Lord the King Assigned to keep the Peace
in the said County and also to hear and determine divers Felonies
Trespasses and other misdemeanors committed in the same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of saint
Gabriel Fenchurch Street London Did at the last General Quarter Session
of the Peace held for this County in the Month of October last Exhibit their
Petition and Appeal Settingforth That by Virtue of a pass Warrant or Order
under the hands and Seals of David Wilmot< no role > and Burford Camper< no role > Esquires
two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County of
Middlesex bearing date the Thirtieth day of July one thousand Seven
hundred and Seventy James White< no role > and his wife Jane< no role > were removed and
Conveyed from and out of the Parish of Saint Mary White Chapel in the
County of Middlesex aforesaid to the said Parish of Saint Gabriel Fenchurch
Street as the place of their last legal settlement Whereby the Petitioners
conceived themselves to be Aggrieved Which said Appeal was duly adjourned
unto this day. Now upon hearing of the said Appeal and what hath been
alledged on either side by the respective Churchwardens and Overseers their
Council and Witnesses in and concerning the Premises It is Ordered that
the said Order of the said two Justices be and the same is hereby confirmed
and that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish
of saint Gabriel Fenchurch Street London do maintain and provide for
the said Poorman and Woman until they can Free themselves from the charge
thereof by due course of Law
