WHEREAS Complaint has been made unto us, two of
His MAJESTY's Justices of the Peace in and for the
County of MIDDLESEX (one whereof being of the
Quorum) by the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of St. LUKE , in the said County, That Elizabeth
Davis
< no role > Wife of John Davis< no role > and her two Children
namely Elizabeth < no role > aged about two years and William < no role >
aged about five Months have

lately come into the said Parish, endeavouring to settle there,
contrary to Law. And it appeareth unto us the said Justices,
and we do adjudge that they are likely to become charge-
able to the said Parish; and upon Examination of the said
Elizabeth Davis< no role > taken upon Oath,
it further appeareth unto us, and we do likewise adjudge, that
the Parish of Saint Pancras in the
County of Middlesex
is the Place of the last legal Settlement of the said Elizabeth
Davis
< no role > and her said two Children

These are therefore in His MAJESTY's Name to Charge and
Command the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of St. LUKE , forthwith to remove and convey the said
Elizabeth Davis< no role > and her said two Children
from the said Parish of St. LUKE , to the said Parish of
Saint Pancras and deliver them to the
Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or to some
or one of them, who are hereby required to provide for them
according to Law. GIVEN under our Hands and Seals
the 7th Day of February 17 70

To the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the respective Parishes
of St. LUKE, in the County of MID-
DLESEX, and Saint Pancras in
the said County
and to all other Officers whom it may
concern.
