This Indenture Witnesseth that Joseph [..]

Hertford with the Consent of the said John B [..]
doth put himself Apprentice to John Heward< no role > of the Parish of St. George [..]
Bloomsbury in the County of Midlex C [..]
Upholdster to learn the Art and with him after the manner of an Apprentice to Serve from the 24 of [..]
Last pastunto the full and end and Term of Daven
Years from thence next following to be fully compleat and ended during which Term the said Apprentice

every where gladly do he shall do no Damage to his said Master not see it to be done of others

And for the true performance of all and every the said Covenants and Agreements each of the said Parties
bindeth himself Unto the other firmly by these Presents In Witness whereof the said Parish
to these Presents have hereunto Interchangeably set their Hands and Seals the
day of Junein the [..] Saint Year of the Reign of our Sovereign
Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland

Note the Indenture Covenant titide, or Contract, must bear Date
the [..] it is Execuated, and what Honey or other Things given or Contracted for
[..] the Clerk or Apprentice, must be Inserted in Words at Seventh: and
[..] Duty paid to the Stamp Office is in London, or within the Weekly
Calld if Morality within one Month after the Execution, and if
in the Country and out of the said Bills of Mortality, within Two Months
the Distributor of the Stamps or his Substitute: otherwise the Indenture
will be Void, the Master of Mistress forfeit Fifty Pounds, and another
[..] and the Apprentice be Disabled to follow his Trade or be made Free.}
