maketh Oath that he did Yesterday enquire in Brookes Street Holborn for Richard
Beck
< no role > lodging at Joseph Halletts in the said Street as described in the Conviction
of John Hanforth< no role > of John Hanforthof Lad Lane London Inn holder by John
Spinnage
< no role > Esquire one of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County
Middlesex bearing Date the second Day of November last in order to [..]
served the said Richard Beck< no role > the Informer and Prosecutor in the said
Matter with the Appeal of the said John Hanforth against the said Conviction
pursuant to an Order of this Court but upon such Enquiry in the
Neighbourhood was informed that the said Joseph Hallett had been
long since gone away and that other Persons then inhabited the same
House and that they never knew any such Person as Richard Beck< no role >
nor could they give this Deponent any Information where either the
said Joseph Hallett< no role > or Richard Beck< no role > were gone or could be found or
heard of and this Deponent afterwards enquired of the present Inhabitants
of the said House where this Deponent was informed the said Joseph Hollett
lately lived and also of the Land lord of the said House but could not
get any Intelligence concerning either the said Joseph Hallet< no role > or Richard
Beck
< no role > And this Deponent further Saith that he did afterwards on the
same Day enquire of the said John Spinnage< no role > Esquire where this
Deponent might find the said Richard Beck< no role > when Mr. Spinnage
informed this Deponent that he believed this Deponent might find
him at the Queen Charlotte's Head in Percy Street but if this Deponent
did not find him there he did not know of any other Place and upon
Enquiry in Percy Street this Deponent found there was no Queen
Charlotte's Head in the said Street but found such a House in a
Street adjoining where this Deponent inquired but was informed
