To the Clerk of the Peace for the County of Middlesex
as to his Deputy.

Whereas it Appears to us two of his Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for the said County of Middlesex by the Affidavit of James
Long
< no role > that the said James Long< no role > was Bound in one Recognizanice
Prosecute George Payne< no role > at the Genes at Sessions of the Peace
held for the bounty of Middlesex in September Last past for
picking the Pockett of one Samuel Greenway< no role > and Stealing there out
one Child's Pincloth of a very Triffling Value And that the said
James Long< no role > pursuant to such Recognizance did Attend at Hicks
Hall with an Expectancy of seeing the said Samuel Greenway< no role >
the Prosecutor and after waiting there two whole Days and not
Seeing the said george Payne< no role > ar hearing his the said James Long< no role > 's
Name Called the said James Long< no role > not though any Wilfull
Neglect or Partiality that he did not Profess a Bill of Indictment
against the said George Payne< no role > but Inti rely though Ignorance
did not Apply too or ask any Person for Advice therein but
Apprehended as he had Attended and not being called he was
Discharged from the Recognizance Entered into by him These
are therefore to Authorize and Require you to Respite and for bear
Estreating into his Majesty's Court of Exchequer the Recognizance
wherein the said James Long< no role > stands bound to Prosecute the said
George Payne< no role > as above recited And for your so Doing this Shall
be your Sufficient Warrant Given under our Hands this
26thDay of November 1767.
