To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Saint Mary Islington
in the Countyof Middlesex
and to the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of Saint John Wapping
in the said County

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made by you the
Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of Saint Mary Islington
unto us whose Hands and Seals are
hereunto set, two of his Majesty's Justice of the Peace (where-
of one is of the Quorum) for the County afore-
said, that Mary Trueborn, Spinster , a Lunatic
hath
lately intruded into your said Parish of Saint Mary -
there to inhabit as Parishioner contrary to the Laws relating to
the Settlement of the Poor, and is there like to become charge-
able, if not timely prevented: And Whereas, upon due Exami-
nation and Enquiry made into the Premisses, as well as
upon the Oath of Jane Avery< no role > , Widow
it appears unto Us; and we accordingly adjudge, that the said
Mary Trueborn, is
like to become chargeable unto the said Parish of Saint Mary
Islington and that the last legal Place of
Settlement of the said Mary Trueborn< no role >
is in the said Parish of
Saint John Wapping
These are therefore in his Majesty's Name, to order and require
you the said Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Saint Mary Islington aforesaid, that you
or some of you, do forthwith remove and convey the said Mary
Trueborn
< no role > from your said Parish of Saint Mary
to the said Parish of Saint John
Wapping and her deliver
to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some
or one of them, together with this our Warrant or Order, on a
true Copy hereof: whereby they are likewise required, in his
Majesty's Name, and by Virtue of the Statues in such Case
made, forthwith to receive the said Mary Trueborn
into the said parish and provide for her
as their own Parishioner. Given under our Hands and Seals the
Day of June in the Year of our
Lrod One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty seven
