At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord the King
holden for the county of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street
in the said County (by Adjournment) on Monday the Fourteenth day of
October in the Fifth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the
Third King of Great Britain Etc Before John Hawkins< no role > , Benjamin
Cowell
< no role > , Stephen Clarke< no role > , Thomas Niccoll< no role > John Spencer Coleper< no role > an
and other their Fellows Justices of our said Lord the King Assigned to
keep the Peace in the County aforesaid and also to hear and determine
divers Felonies Trespasses and other Misdemeanours committed in the
same County.

Whereas by an Order under the Hands and Seals of William Hallett< no role > and
William Sharpe< no role > Esquires Two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the
said County of Middlesex bearing date the Seventh day of September last
Directed to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Edqware in the said County of Middlesex Reciting That Jesse Eyles< no role > of the
said Parish of Edgware in the said County of Middlesex Collermaker had
on or about the Twenty fourth day of August last past Runaway from the
said Parish of Edgware in the said County leaving his wife named Ann< no role > and
Three Children Vizt. Ann< no role > about Nine years of Age Edward< no role > about Seven Years
of Age and Christopher< no role > about Six years of Age which said Three Children,
were then and had been ever since the time that he the said Jesse Eyles Run
away as aforesaid chargeable to the said Parish of Edgware And that the said
Jesse Eyles was then and at the time of his Running away as aforesaid
Possessed of several House hold goods Chattels Stock in Trade and other Effects
Situate lying and being in his House in the Parish of Edgware aforesaid.
It was Ordered and Directed that the said Churchwardens and Overseers should
forthwith Enter into the House Shop Yard and other the Premisses of him the
said Jesse Eyles and there take and Seize all such Household Goods Stock in,
Trade and other Effects of him the said Jesse Eyles as they should then and
there find and keep and detain the same towards the discharging the said
Parish of Edgware and towards bringing up and Providing for his said wife
and three Children and Subject to such further Order as his Majestys Justices
of the Peace in their next Quarter Session to be held for the said County of
Middlesex should direct and Appoint
