Peace in the County aforesaid and also to hear Determine
divers Felonies Trespasses and other Misdemrs, committed

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
James within the Liberty of Westminster
in the County of Middlesex
Have at this
present Session Exhibited their Petition and Appeal Setting forth That by Virtue of
a pass Warrant or Order under the hands and Seals of Benjamin Cox< no role >
and Thomas
Kynaston< no role >

two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace
in and for the City
and Liberty of Westminster
(one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date the
26th. day of November 1764 Jorom Johnson a Lunatic was removed from the
Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields within the Liberty of Westminster
to the
Parish of Saint James within the said Liberty as the place of his last legal
Settlement Whereby the Petitioner thought themselves Aggrieved Now upon,
hearing of the said Appeal and what hath been Alledged on either side by the
respective Churchwardens and Overseers their Council and Witnesses in and
concerning the Premises It is Ordered that the said Appeal be and the same
is hereby Allowed and the said pass Warrant or Order of the said two Justices
is hereby Quashed and Vacated And it is further Ordered that the said
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint James
Westminster
or some or one of them Do forthwith Convey and Deliver back the
said Jorom Johnson (together with a Copy of this Order) unto the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the poor of the Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields aforesaid
or to some or one of them who are hereby required to receive and Provide for
the said Jorom Johnson untill they can Free themselves from the charge
thereof by due course of law.
