At the GeneralSession of the Peace of our Lord the
King holden for the County of Middlesex of Hicks Hall in
Saint John Street in the said County by Adjournment on
Thursdaythe ThirteenthDay of December 1764 in
the Fifth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the
Third by the Grace of God King of Great Britain Etc Before
Thomas Lane< no role > , George Erington< no role > , Israel Jalabert< no role >
Esquires and other their Fellow Justices of our said Lord the
King Assigned to keep this Majestys Peace in the County
aforesaid and also to hear and determine divers Felonies
Trespasses and other Misdemeanours Committed in the same
County.

Whereas the Cuhrchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of theParish of
Saint George Hanover Square in this County Exhibited their Petition and
Appeal at this Present Session Setting forth that by Virtue of a Pass Warrant
or Order under the hands and Seals of William Hallett< no role > and John Crosse< no role > Esqrs
two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex
aforesaid bearing date the Fifth day of November 1764 Jane Field< no role > and
her two Children Vizt. Jeremiah< no role > about Six years of Age and Elizabeth< no role >
Aged about two years were removed from the Parish of Harrow upon the Hill
in the said County to the said Parish of Saint George Hanover Square as
the place of their last legal Settlement Whereby the Petitioners think
themselves Aggrieved Now upon hearing what hath been Alledged on either side
by the respective Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor and their Council
and Witnesses in and concerning the Premises This Court doth ratity and
Confirm the Adjudication and Order of the said Two Justices of the Peace
and the same id hereby confirmed accordingly and the Petition and Appeal
aforesaid against the same is hereby Dismissed And it is further Ordered
that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Saint George Hanover Square Do maintain and Provide for the said poor
Woman and Children as their other poor until they can Free themselves from
the Charge thereof by due Course of law
