From all the Circumstances which I have leoined
concerning the Deced I am induced to beleive that the
Wounds reced by her were the Cause of her Death.

But I am of Opinion that these Accidents might
not have proved mortal if due care had been taken
of the deced from the Beginning

J. Moffatt.

Josh. Randall< no role > of Brownlow Street Surgeon . Was present
at the opening of the Body 25th. Mr. Moffat & confirms Mr. Moffatt
both in his Acct. & Judgmt. And says the deced on Fryday the 6th.
April abt. 8 at Night came to him for advise abt. [..] a Blow upon
her Head wch. was then bleeding & given her by a Poker by the Candledy
of the Bull & Butcher he slightly Exaied it & dress'd it & desired
her to Go home to a Warm Bed & Apply a Poultier to it & that she
would let him know where she lodged that he might attend her
he says he ask'd her wher. she had any other complaint & she
said noattended her the next day when she came to the shop
& dress'd her head but dent recollect she otherwise complain'd
That on the Monday she sent to the Shop for the Witness & he went
& ask'd for her & the Landlady ask'd him what he wanted
with herhe told her to dress her headshe told him
that she would provide a Surgent as she was to pay for itSays
he inquired where the deced lay & went into her room &
found her in [..] he found her to therabling well & dress'd her
head but she made no complaint of her Ribs or sideThat
as soon as he had dress'd the Head Mrs. Hargrave came in &
again told him that as she was to pay the Surgeon she would
have one of her own & desired to see the Wound & insisted to
See it & he told her it was inst dress'd got not withstanding
