At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of Our
Lord the King holden for the County of Middlesex at
Hicks Hall in Saint John Street in the said County
(By Adjournment) On Thursday the Fifteenth Day
of July 1762, in the Second year of the Reign of King
George the Third over Great Britain Etc.

It is Ordered that Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of this County
do pay to James Sturges Adams< no role > Contractor for Passing of
Vagrants the Sum of Four Pounds two Shillings and Seven
pence in full of his Account for Subsistance of Vagrants
to this Day And that the Receipt of the said Mr. Adams
together with this Order shall be a sufficient discharge
to the said Treasurer for such Payment
