And this Inf saith that the sd. Allinson told him that he had
the Note from Mr Cooper on the Saturday night which then
Inf understood to be the night before at the white house
in Fetter Lane & that the sd Mr Cooper was gone out of town with
some friends & wod not come back till Monday or Tuesday
And this Inf and the said Allinson came back to the Duke
of lovefords head aforesaid witht. offering the sd. Note in
Payment and this Inf parted with him there And the Inf
went to the other Inf Ridgway which whom this Inf served
his Apprenticeship and mentioned his Suspicion to Mr
Ridgway concerning the sd. Note And then this Inf went do [..] to
the White horse in Fetter Lane to enquire concerning the sd.
Cooper & was there informed there they knew Mr Cooper and
that he went not of Town just after the Comition and
hath not been in town since as they knew And this Inf saith
then he being desireous to know wher this was a Forgery on [..]
he had ment to the sd. Allinson that if the Note was a good one
Mr. Ridgwaywhowod give him the Money for it & appointed to
go with him [..] at Ten O'Clock on the Morrow Morning
And according at Ten O'Clock on the Morrow Money he met the
Said Allinson at the Dukes hand afsd and at the same time procured
Two peace officers to be ready to take the said Allinson into
Custody in case Suspicion shod. arise that the Note offered to
Mr. Ridgway was a Forged one And the sd. Allinson & this Inf [..]
to Mr Ridgway's and there this Inf saw the sd. Allinson
deliver to Mr Ridgway a Bill of Exchange now produced for
payment purporting to be a Bill of Exchange drawn by Richd
Fowler
