of his Majestys Justices of the peace
for the said County
We being sevly on Oath say and first this Inf Brewer Smith
for himself saith that he hath known a person now present
was falls himself Richd Allinson< no role >
about five Weeks and the
said Allinson came to this Inf. on Sunday last about Ten O'
Clock and desired this Inf to call on him at the Dukes of
Bedford's head in Kings street Bloomsbury
and about an hour
then Inf call'd on time and they went togr. to the Kings head in
[..] Leathyr Lane and the said Allinson pulled out a Note & gave
it to this Inf & desired him to go along with him to get Cash for
it but this Inf saith that he is not certain whether the note
now produced & hereafter mentioned is the same note which he gave
him at the Kings head he having it so little time in his hand
before the sd. Allinson took it again And when they came near
Bow Church
the sd. Allinson told the Inf that he tho [..] at proper
that the note shod. be Indorsedbeand on this Inf making an
Objection to his Indorsing of [..] they went on to Cannon street
And then the sd. Allinson Shewed this Inf a house which he told
him was Inr Weather by where the Cash was to be got and
desired this Inf to represent himself as the Genel. Steward who's name
was Mason on whom the same was drawnAndbut this Inft
having some Suspicions from the delivery of the note to him at
the Kings head and the Circumstance of going to obtain Money
for a Bill on a Sunday and his desireing him to personate a
Gent Steward determined him to have nothing to do with the sd.
Note fearing to be brought into trouble on account of the sd note
