Jointly and severally make Oath And first these Deponents all jointly make Oath
and say that they in October last acknowledged themselves each to be Indebted
to our them Sovereign Lord the King in forty pounds upon Condition that they should
appear at the then next General Quarter Sessions of the peace to be held for the
County of Middlesex
at
Hicks's Hall
in Saint John Street
then and there the
said Richard Woodriffe to Prosecute the Law with Effect and the others to give
Evidence in his Majestys behalf against Ann Reeves< no role >
alias Woodriffe< no role >
for
Feloniously Marrying and taking to Husband the said Richard Woodriffe, her
former husband Thomas Reeves< no role >
being then alive contrary to the Statute Etc and
that if the Bill should be found a true Bill and returned so by the Grand Jury
that then they were to appear at the then next Sessions of Goal Delivery of
Newgate, held for the County of Middlesex
at Justices Hall in the Old Baily
then and there to Prosecute and give Evidence upon that Indictment and not
to depart the Court without Licence Then the said Recognizance to be void
or else to remain in full force And this Deponent Richard Woodriffe for
himself separately maketh Oath that in Consequence of such his Recognizance
he did attend at Hicks's Hall
the first day of the then next Sessions and was
ready to Prosecute the Law Wtch. Effect and gave Instructions to the Clerk of the
Peace to draw an Indictment against the said Ann Reeves< no role >
alias Woodriffe
that Day and employed an Attorney to Sollicit the prosecution for him this
Deponent and paid him three Guineas for the same And this Deponent
Richard Woodruffe for himself separately further maketh Oath that he this
Deponent Notwith standing he made Use of his best Endeavours for the
procuring a Bill of Indictment to be drawn and Presented to the land Jury
he could not obtain the same untill the last day of the sessions at the Old
Baily
although the said two other Deponents attended to give Evidence against
the said Ann Reeves< no role >
alias Woodriffe in Consequence of their said Recognizance
And these Deponents Thomas Reeves< no role >
and Joseph Russell< no role >
for themselves
Jointly further say that in Consequence of such their Recognizance they
attended at Hick's Hall
during the then next Sessions to give
Evidence in his Majestys behalf against the said Ann Reeves< no role >

Woodruffe untill the said Bill of Indictment was found And these
Deponents Richard Woodruffe< no role >

Jointly make it Oath
that they were Examined before the Grand Jury the last day of the Sessions
at the Old Baily
upon an Indictment against the said Ann Reeves< no role >

which said Bill was found a true Bill but before the Indictment
could be Carryed or these Deponents could get from Hicks Hall to the Old Baily
although these Deponents made all the Possible haste they could, the Jury on the
