Oliver Smith< no role > Three Tons . Cable Sheet . Victualer
That last Fryday Night abt. 7. he was in at, Mrs.
Kennedys the black Boy at Salt Petre bank , in the public
Room facing the Bar by the Fire side-that several
were in the room but the Witness knew none of them. that
several Women as well as then were in the room wch. is a
long Room-Says he heard some of the Compas Complain to the
Zandlady That the deced was trouble comes in Company
that the Landlady did turn & him out & a Woman in
his Compa. called Sarah Murray< no role > That he was not
strict in his observations for he thot. no danger near, that
Prsently in abt. 5 Minutes time or thereabts. a Woman
came in & said That the Man who had made the Noise
in the House was Murdered-went out of Mrs. Kennedys
into Mr. Cusacks next door & saw the Deced sitting in
a Chair Colling on one side-The Witness saw the
Wound under the right Breast & Thinks he was then
dead-for his lips were white-his Mouth open-&
no pulse-That a Surgeon came-open'd a Vein-
but he was dead-The Witness being inform'd the
Woman called Sarah Murray< no role > had hold of the Deceds
Arm at the time of the Wound-(& wch. Murray
afterwards own'd to him)-he Secured her & Delivered
her up to an Officer who took her to Gaol-That Murray
first declared that the Wound was given by Antony
& afterwards that it was given by Bennett-cannot
account for this contradicon but says he believes she
was not in liquor. Says Sarah Murray< no role > now present
is the Woman he speaks of. That Mary Clarke< no role > (now
ordd. in) is the Person who came in & Cried out the Man
was Murdd.
