Deft. was Indicted for ye above Offence in
Janry Sessn. last and being known to be a
[..] Scheming Man & a Man of bad Character in ye.
Neighbourhd. and having Assaulted Prosecutrix (who is
a poor industrious honest woman in ye Neighbourhd.
and peals in Apples Greens Etc & in such Assault
injured her very much by throwing down her Apples
sd in ye dirt & otherwise abusing her, and ye poor
Woman being a noble to reduss herself ye persons of
Fortune & Repute in ye Neighbourhd. resolved to take
her part in ordr. to bring this Trouble some Chap
(who some times pretends to be an Attorney) to
Justices & for that purpose applied to me
when ye Bill was found I desired no Certificate
might be granted but one being granted he put
in Bail to [..] plead & try last Sessn. but has done
neither get,
