To Mr. John Madders High or Chief
Constable for the City & Liberty of Westminster

Whereas Stephen Wall< no role > a Rogue and Vagabond
was found wandering a broad and begging in the Parish
of St. George Hanover Square in the said Liberty not having
a legal Settlement, And Whereas the said Stephen
Wall
< no role > was brought before me one of his Majestys
Justices of the peace for the City and Liberty aforesaid (by
John Lewis< no role > ) in order to be dealt with according to Law.

These are therefore to require you the
said High Constable to pay unto the said John Lewis< no role >
for apprehending the said Vagrant the Sum of Ten
Shillings pursuant to the Statute in that case made and
provided, Given under my Hand & Seal this 17th.
day of November 1757.
