The Examination of Judith Pettitt< no role > a
Rogue and Vagabond apprehended by William Dade< no role > Watch
House Keeper of the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields
in the Liberty of Westminster in the County of
Middlesex and brought Before me one
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County City &
of Liberty aforesaid. And taken before
me this 17th Day of March
in the Year of our Lord 1757

This Examinant on h er Oath says, That She is 23 Years of Age
and is the Wife of Joseph Pettitt< no role > (gone from her) to whom
she was Married at the Fleet 5 Years ago That before
his Intermarriage while Single & Unmarried he was a
Yearly hired Servant to Capt. Price in the Parish of all
Saints in the Town of Malden in the County of Essex for
the Space of One Year and upwards but what Wages he
had nor when he quitted the Same this Examinant cantell
That he never did any Act to gain a Settlement since.
