At the General Session of the Peace of our Sovereign Lord the King holden for the County
of Middx at Hicks Hall in St. John Street in the County aforesaid by adjournment on Thursday
the fourth day of December in the twenty ninth Year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord
George the second King of Great Britain Etc before Thomas Lane< no role > George Errington< no role >
Vigerus Edwards< no role > Edmund Byron< no role > Esquires and others their Fellows Justices
of our said Lord the King assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid and also to
hear and determine divers Felonies Trespasses and other Misdeeds committed in the same
County.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Mary
Abchurch London have exhibited their humble Petition and Appeal unto this Court Setting-
forth That by a Warrant or Order of Removal bearing date the tenth day of November One
thousand seven hundred and fifty five under the Hand and Seal of Samuel Bever< no role > Esqr . one of
his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County of Middx Elizabeth Inwood< no role > and her Female
Bastard Child aged about four Years were removed from the Parish of Kensington in the said County
of Middx to the said Parish of St. Mary Abchurch as the Place of their last legal Settlement
And that the Petitioners find themselves aggrieved by part of the said Order or Warrant
whereby the said Elizabeth Inwoods Female Bastard Child is removed from the said Parish of
Kensington to the said Parish of Saint Mary Abchurch and humbly appealed against that
part of the said Order or Warrant, which Appeal was appointed to be heard on this present
Thursday the fourth day of December instant Now upon hearing of what was alledged by
Mr. Lane of Council for the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of
Kensington and also by Mr. Stow of Council for the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of St. Mary Abchurch Forasmuch as this Court is of Opinion to have
the hearing of the said Appeal adjourned It is Ordered by this Court that the hearing and
determining the Matter of the said Appeal be and the same is hereby adjourned untill
the next General Quarter Session of the Peace to be holden for the said County of Middx
And that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of both the said Parishes and all
Persons concerned do attend the Court of the said next General Quarter Session of the Peace
to be holden for the said County by adjournment on Thursday the fifteen day of January
next at ten of the Clock in the Forenoon to hear and abide the Judgment and Determination
of the same Court touching the said Appeal.
