for an assault.

John Hussey< no role > of Saint Albans Street in the Parish of Saint
James Westminster Maketh Oath that he this Deponent did on
the Seventh day of January instant Serve the Wife of Edward
Baker
< no role > the Prosecutor in this Indictment with the Notice of tryal
hereto annexed by delivering to her a true Copy thereof in Writing
Signed by the Defendant at a Publick House called the three
Phylosophers heads in saint Albans street aforesaid which was
the house the said Baker the Prosecutor last lived in before he
absconded as this Deponent believes and which house is now
Continued to be kept as a Publick House by his Wife as this Dept.
also believes And this Deponent further Says that the said Bakers
Wife then Informed this Deponent that her Husband was not in
England and that she did not know when he would return
And this Deponent further says that he did the same day also
Serve Mr. Pinner Attorney for the said Baker in this Indictment
as this Deponent has heard and believes with the like Notice of
Tryal by Delivering another true Copy thereof in Writing Signed
by the said Defendant to the said Mr. Pinners Brother at his the
Said Mr. Pinners House in Saint Martin Lane in the
Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields
